Thanks Ryan. We get so caught up in celebrity status, and victory and triumph that we often step away from how we are called to live. It is a challenge. The practices of the church are out of step with predominant culture. thanks for reading.

Kurt, really excellent, as always. And challenging. I've just finished Bryan Stone's book recently and it's influence on me has been very significant. For him to frame all that he has to say as evangelism is a fresh contribution. As we enter this season of Lent, I'm going to be asking my congregation, in the heart of Los Angeles, to think with me about what it means to follow Jesus into the wilderness and what resources (habits, practices) we need to sustain our life with God in this urban wilderness.
