Good News for Your City
April 18, 2009 • Off the Cuff •
I am part of a writing project conceived by JR Woodward. My post will go up on JR’s website on Tuesday April 21st. The task is as follows:
From the streets of LA to the skyscrapers of NYC, from the flats of London to the halls of academia, people are discussing the Good News. In neighborhood coffee shops and congregations alike, people are trying to figure out just what the Good News is. We’ll be exploring the rich and multi-colored tapestry of the Good News in this series.
Contributors to this series include authors, bloggers, professors, and practitioners. You will hear perspectives from different ethnicities and different genders, as well as from Asia, South America, Europe and North America. You can find a full list of contributors here.
In this blog series each of the contributors will be summarizing their understanding of the Good News in 300 to 500 words. Each author is writing their entry as if they were invited by their city newspaper to write an article on the Good News, thus you will find the name of the author’s city newspaper in each entry. This series will challenge us to grow in our ability to share the good news with a variety of people from different perspectives.
